  2. Can I restore an SSD image to a normal hard drive disk

partition the files on the 500GB into two drives. so there will be two partitions, 150GB(OS and files) and 350GB(empty).

then clone the 150GB to the 240GB SSD

  3. No C: but D: drive has all the data

    Hi Austin,

To help you with your concern regarding the data on the drive C:, you're seeing the drive "C:" as the drive "D:" because you're booting your computer outside Windows. When booting your computer outside Windows, the system is reading the recovery partition
as drive C: and the data in the drive C: \ are listed on the drive D: \. Try to boot your computer and try to check again the data in the drive C: \ and see if the data are listed.

    Regards.

A SSD drive, divided into 2 drives C=150GB to install OS,D=350GB already has data inside,I...

C Drive (SSD) getting full. Data D: (HDD) nothing on it.

My computer is 3 months old. The configuration is OS C 256GB SSD, Data D 2TB HDD. C Drive is getting full, fast. D Drive has virtually nothing on it. I have tried to install larger programs on D, but the install wizards default to C. At this point,
I won't have room for Updates in no time at all. I am able to direct some small Apps, docs, music files, etc., to D: But, nothing of any real size. How can I correct this?

Also, System restore takes a lot of space. So, I am constantly deleting all restore points except for the most recent. Can I direct System restore to Data D:, and turn protection off OS C:? (That would help... a little).
