Windows 10: A Strange Computer Appeared on my network - Windows 10 - How do I get rid of it?

Microsoft LOCKED the last thread on the subject and there are 355 other reports of this so if you've seen this on your computer, start a new thread, at some point the run-around will stop.I have an IT background, my computer is on a Secured Network WAP-2 Key on a fiberoptic line. We live in a community of townhomes. Everything was fine until this afternoon when this computer showed up on my network. - Desktop-FCFL963. I searched the desktop name and it came up as some Xeon machine you can get off Amazon.Anyway, how do I get this off my network? I understand that because I have a secured netw

Strange Windows 10 User Account issue.

Unfortunately I had done those steps numerous reboots, it just, reappears for no good reason. The base account isn't even a Microsoft account, it's a local account.

I haven't quite tried the built in administrator account on W10, but so far in my experience on my own computer, the built in account seemed to have absolutely no more control than I did on my own.

It's just strange, I go in, it warns me twice about deleting the account, then it's gone. Reboot, and it's back?

EDIT: Just to specify, both command line and Netplwiz both say only HIS account exists on the computer, it doesn't list this rogue account. This is what I meant in my first post about the fact that even Windows doesn't seem to believe it exists, HALF the time. *Frown

 

What is this network device?


This is a weird problem I've been seeing in windows for years now (not just windows 10). I've been unable to figure out what it is, but we're not alone in this, I did some research a while back and a lot of other people were seeing it as well.

Some suggest it's a bug in the network stack. Some suggest it's neighbors who are connecting somehow, but not able to use the network. Regardless, it's not an uncommon problem and doesn't seem to be anything worry about. Here's some examples:
