  1. A strange, convoluted activation question

About 5 months ago I purchased a PC with Win 10 Pro. I activated it with no issues. A few weeks ago it developed a serious problem, and I returned it under warranty. The seller refunded my money, deciding the machine wasn't repairable. I purchased another PC, this one with Win10 Home. I activated it, was offered an upgrade to 11 Enterprise, & installed and activated it with no issues. Today I purchased the upgrade to 11 Pro, and when I entered the key I got the following error:Where do I go from here? My Win 11 version isn't activated, I cannot personalize the machine, and Microsoft

  3. Windows 11 22H2 update failed - error 0x8007000d

I did the same thing. It seems unreasonable to go through numerous convoluted steps to update Windows. Strangely, now the update is no longer presented as an option, so for now my version is listed as 21H2 and it says I'm up to date. Not sure what happens next.

    • What changes have you made to your devices before this issue occurred?
    • Are your computers connected to a domain?
    • What troubleshooting steps have you done so far?

In the meantime, we suggest visiting these links. These can be used as a reference on how to activate Windows 10:
