A virus attack on Windows boot manager.

I got a virus that destroyed WBM. When I boot my computer about a year old, windows 11. I get the brand logo Asus and a swirling circle. About 3-4 seconds the logo flickers, the machine tries to reboot. That can go one indefinitely. I have created a bootable USB but the same thing happens. I can get to the 'BIOS', the boot tab only contains Windows boot manager. No drives are listed. Any help?

    :)

  2. Windows boot manager

There could be some system conflict triggered after the said changes. To help you with your concern, we suggest that you perform a clean boot. A
clean boot is performed to start Windows by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This will help to determine what is causing the issue on the Windows boot manager. To do this, click on this
link and scroll down to the
How to determine what is causing the problem by performing a clean boot section then follow the steps listed..

Note: If the installation is successful and the issue has been resolved. Please go through the section “How to reset the computer to start as usual” to reset your computer to the normal startup.

Let us know how it goes after performing the suggested steps.

  3. Windows 10 upgrade with virus attacks

This isn't a question - just a statement. Since my download and install of Windows 10 I'm continually (every couple hours) getting blasted with attacks of the Trojan.Dropper virus. Thankfully my Norton Security is detecting and blocking it. But I
didn't see this listed as a feature of the software when I downloaded it. A virus attack on Windows boot manager. :) I'd like Microsoft to know about this so if someone out there with more knowledge that me could forward it to them, I'd appreciate it. It really isn't a problem, just unsettling
getting these attack messages all the time. Before this I'd get maybe 3 virus messages a year let alone a day.

    Windows boot manager

Since performing a clean boot was not able to address the issue, we suggest that you disable your antivirus temporarily. This is to check if the program is causing the Windows boot manager issue. To do this, please follow the steps below:

    • Locate your antivirus program's icon on the right portion of the Taskbar.
    • Once the antivirus program has been located, right-click on the icon and select
      Disable, Stop or something similar.
    • If you were not able to do this on the Taskbar, you may need to open the program and disable it using the program's menu.
    • Try to check again if the issue persists after disabling the antivirus program.

If you're not getting the same issue with Windows boot manager after disabling the antivirus program, you may need to contact the program's support directly for further assistance.

NOTE: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you shouldn't disable your antivirus software. If you have to temporarily disable it to install other software, you should
re-enable it as soon as you're done. If you're connected to the Internet or a network while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

Feel free to post back for an update and let us know if you need more help.
