Windows 10: A way to see what windows is running each day

This is probably a dumb question and I don't really know the best way to phrase this. I have a brand new Dell XPS13 9380 which I only use to watch videos (since it crashes so regularly =.=). Sometimes every few hours the fan will suddenly rev up to max speed for around 30 seconds and then quiet. It happens around 4 times a day. I've checked task manager for correlation but there isn't any it just seems like the fan is revving up randomly. Suddenly yesterday it was completely silent and my computer stayed cool. To troubleshoot I wanted to try to find out what windows was doing in the back ground to see what wasn't running on that day (of silent fan and cool computer). Is that possible? windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

 

Windows.old automatically deleted the day after installing Windows 10

A simple websearch would have given you info quicker than complaining about someone suggesting to upgrade to Windows 10 and something causing the Windows.old to be deleted, which I doubt was caused by Microsoft.
Rebuild System Partition

The second way here we can put forward is to rebuild the system partition. If you don't want to pay a penny to do the lost partition recovery, try this method. Note that this requires you have the Windows installation disk. Now follow the instructions to begin.
Preparatory work:
Boot the computer using the Windows installation media for your running OS. Then on the first installation screen, press SHIFT+F10 to bring up the command prompt.
Now run the following commands at the command prompt.
Step 1:
bootrec /fixmbr
Step 2:
diskpart
select disk 0
list partition
select partition n (n is the Windows OS partition)
active
exit (exit diskpart)
Step 3:
bootrec /fixboot
Step 4:
bootrec /rebuildbcd
