    A white X on battery icon and can't open Settings


    There's a white x icon on the battery but I can still plug in and charge my laptop. Also, I can't open the settings, it just immediately closes and I can't take a screenshot in my laptop. Please help me and assist me. My laptop is Acer Aspire 7I want to upload a screenshot but it say's "error to upload"Please help

    Like the title says, there's a white x icon on the battery but I can still plug in and charge my laptop. Also, I can't open the settings, it just immediately closes and I can't write anything in the search bar. Can anyone help?

    My laptop is IdeaPad 5 15ALC05.

    Thanks, this was a great help. Had a similar issue with a X on the Battery Icon, no Device Manager, loss of Software etc. After I followed above steps all is working again.
