Hi everybodyI have a portable computer with a French Windows with only one original German keyboard. Since installing Windows 10 in 2018, I have never had this anomaly.Since I think its last KB5008212 update on Dec 14, 2021,mMy Windows has been showing an extra Keyboard layout.I have bolded the entries that appear on their own.[HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Control Panel\International\User Profile\fr-FR]"040C:00000407"=dword:00000001"040C:00000807"=dword:00000002[HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Keyboard Layout\Preload]"1"="0000040c""2"="d001040c"[HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Keyboard Layout\Substitutes]"0000040c"="0000040

BSOD Unknown Reason

The dump file on the 18th was caused by Quick Heal again. The later ones appear to be due to bit flips. I would recommend enabling Driver Verifier on all third-party drivers using the following instructions:

1) Search for verifier using the Start Menu and select the verifier.exe, accept the UAC prompt and you should be presented with the following screen:





2) Tick the following options as shown below





3) Ensure that you select the option to enable you to select drivers yourself





4) Select all drivers which are not Microsoft related and then click the Finish button. Afterwards, please reboot the computer and Driver Verifier will continue to run in the background. Please do not select the drivers which are prefixed with dump_

 

Unknown entry after Windows update

My Windows 10 Pro PC updated and I found out unknown entry under "Y" called "other" and also an entry "ms-resouce:Appname/Text". How can I delete them from the start menu. I tried with no success.

Try to check the program and features list and see if there is any unknown application then that might be related to that unknown application icon. For opening program and features window you may refer to the steps provided below.

• Press Windows key + R.
• Type appwiz.cpl in the run box.
• This will open program and features window.
• Try to search for that application and see if you could uninstall it.
