Windows 10: A windows share stopped working while other are working

A specific windows share has stopped working for me and another one of my colleague in our windows 10 laptop for few months now. Other windows shares are working and are accessible.

The same network share is accessible if I my colleague access it from other windows 10 laptops using our IDs.

IT team concluded this to be a laptop issue. Tried rejoining laptop in the network domain, reinstalling network drivers, disabling firewall on my laptop, uninstalling antivirus and disabling windows firewall and defender. Still that specific share is not accessible from my windows 10 laptop.


IT team thinks this is a laptop issue and windows 10 needs to be re-installed. But there is no guarantee that problem will not come back. I do not want to re-install OS, can someone help ?


There was a firmware update few months ago, that could have caused this issue too, I am not sure. But it does not make sense to be why only 1 windows share is affected and not others.

Shared folders don't work with Windows 10

I avoided Windows 10 for very long out of obvious reasons, but now I had to change because my hardware isn't supported anymore. I run two PCs, one serves as a NAS. Both have the same Windows 10 1809 version installed. Before I had 8.1, which always worked flawlessly, beside of not having Ryzen chipset drivers. Hardware:

• PC 1: B350 chipset, Ryzen 1700, Realtek GbE LAN
• PC 2: X470 chipset, Ryzen 2700X, Intel GbE LAN
• Router: Telekom Speedport Hybrid

This happens now. All the background services are activated, the PCs can see each other but not access. Windows 10 seems to be a real step back.

Is there a solution to get home network groups working again, maybe through a third party solution or hack?

 

SLI stopped working!

Well, I tried Jr's suggestion and my display just stopped working (I think a file got corrupted) I also gave my bridge and SLI connections a wipe down with iso alchy and still no luck. I'm about to clear the CMOS and give it a try, then if that doesn't work I'll try running XP and see what happens. Hopefully something will work. :-\
It's strange that NVCP doesn't let me do SLI because GPU-Z shows both 9600GTs *Wtf :wtf:

Sennheiser GSP 350. Microphone stops working when I open any game

Wow, ok. I think I've fixed it by accident while fiddling around.

It appears to be the Realtek audio being the issue here. I don't use my onboard sound card as my headset is a USB headset only and my speakers are plugged into an ASUS sound card.

Step by step fix:

• I went into recording devices
• I enabled STEREO MIX (Realtek High Definition Audio)
• Then I set that Stereo Mix as the DEFAULT DEVICE (At this point it took over both input and output devices without my permission )
• Then set my Sennheiser headset as default recording and playback devices in their respective windows even though they both still said they were the default devices when they weren't

Headset microphone is currently functioning while in game now. I'll update the thread if it goes again. Should I completely disable Realtek audio??? Or will windows just force it to work again?
