Windows 10: about dashost got infected or not, any related printer/scanner not working properly?

in the past we didn't see any device association framework provider host in task manager "process".

but today popped up 3 then my app software got deadlock(only one app running). i ended 3 same processes but 1 disallowed which shows 0%cpu 0%memory 0.8MB memory.


recently when we need scan document then found out it didn't work(got error message: network connection fail) but the hard copy, print document(no network conn. error) have no problem. we use wifi and to us it didn't make any sense.


i don't know does it caused by dashost.exe, which located in system32 file size 92K ver 10.0.16299.15 (microsoft window o.s.) was infected or not and why popped up 3 same processes that we didn't use printer/scanner at all?

can some one help me?

Another method you may try is to uninstall and reinstall the printer. The following are the steps:



Remove your printer

• Select the Start button, then select Settings > Devices > Printers and Scanners.
• Under Printers & scanners, find the printer, select it, and then select Remove device.

Install or add a local printer

• Select the Start button, then select Settings > Devices > Printers and Scanners.
• Under Printers & Scanners, see if your printer is installed.
• If you don’t see your device, select Add a printer or scanner. Wait for it to find available printers, choose the one you want, and then select Add device.

On the other hand, we suggest also that you reach out the manufacturer of your printer/scanner for the driver availability or work around.

Your scanner should be installed first in order for your computer to recognize it. Since you're using a printer/scanner in one, you need to add or install the device as a printer and as a scanner. Make sure that the printer is properly connected to your
computer and is turned on when you try to install it. Follow these steps:

• Click Start > Settings > Devices.
• Under Add printers & scanners, click the + sign and select
  Add device.

Once added, try checking if you're able to scan. If your computer still doesn't detect the scanner, then we suggest that you get in touch with HP Support for further assistance.

After upgrading to Windows 10 Kodak 3250 printer scanner is not working

I have looked at all the post here for people having the same problem with my printer/scanner but have not found anything that works.

Anyone solved this problem yet? Did all the suggestions listed nothing works. My printer prints but won't scan, says I need a driver for the scan option. My printer/scanner worked in windows 8.1, yea I ran the compatibility mode didn't work. Any help would
be appreciated.
