    As a new and amateur user just joined I hope I have chosen things correctly. My question involves the Registry. My Norton anti-virus program indicates some issues with it but says I do NOT need to do anything about it and I don't seem to have any problems now. I don't know much about it, but if issues arise with such an important aspect of Windows why can they be ignored? If more issues arise does the cumulative number of them impact performance? Can it be fixed by reinstalling my Windows 11? Thank you.

    This issue may have occurred after one of the following situations:

    • You upgrade the Windows operating system.
    • You install or uninstall CD or DVD recording programs.
    • You uninstall Microsoft Digital Image.

    Given that, we suggest performing the methods in this article:

    • What is the exact issue that you are facing?

    • Have you taken a backup of all your data?
    I would suggest you to take a backup of all your data before doing any changes in the registry keys. If you do any incorrect changes to the registry you won’t be able to boot the computer.
