As the service above, I know it is an official service, but why there is a code, seems like randomly after the main name. Not only this one, and I tried to search for it, there is nothing related something like 'random code after service name'.This one is as well, just posting for more cases. BTW, they are all the same one code for different services, just suffixing after the name.

    :)

meaning of common suffix of services

    Sound it out:

    9d8ee

    90, 80

    98

It's an allusion to Windows 98 - the last Microsoft operating system that made any sense.

Okay, seriously ... The suffix has no special meaning, except maybe to the people who were doing the coding. It's just an internal name for a section of code. There's probably a story behind it, but we're not part of the 'in crowd.'

meaning of common suffix of services

I noticed 18 services have common suffix "9d8ee".

Anyone knows the meaning of this suffix?

I have no trouble with this, only being curious.

    example:

    (1) service name: AarSvc_9d8ee

    display name: Agent Activation Runtime_9d8ee

    command: C:\WINDOWS\system32\svchost.exe -k AarSvcGroup -p

    (2) service name: WpnUserService_9d8ee

display name: Windows Push Notifications User Service_9d8ee

    command: C:\WINDOWS\system32\svchost.exe -k UnistackSvcGroup

    Windows 10 Home, version 1909, build 18363.535

    Desktop PC (Dell inspiron 3250)

Thank you for any information ;-)

  4. [About Windows 10 Services] Why my services' name with a code as suffix seems randomly?

    Bluetooth Service Name Question

Those are "per-user services" - Per-user services in Windows 10 and Windows Server | Microsoft Docs

The _5859f is unique to your user account on your machine - I'm guessing it's randomly generated. If you have multiple users then they will have different suffixes.

This is expected behavior. There's no real reason to disable this.
