    hello.
I am using Windows 10 64 bit. i just bought my laptop before 1 month and already windows 10 64 bit has been installed. But i prefer to use Windows 10 32 bit. So how to degrade my bit from 64 to 32 bit.
My laptop is HP having 4gb RAM.
    I need some solution please..
    Thank You !!

  2. Windows 10 Unexpected shutdown on start up

OK, so i figured it out myself

    Found the logfile in "C:\Windows\Minidump".

You need the Windows Development Kit to open it and a bit of googling to understand it.

Found out that a Daemon driver caused an error. Removed Daemon but this didn't solve it. (ps: Daemon itself worked normally).

I let hibernate my computer again and found another error with sptd2.sys: SCSI Pass Through Direct layer

More google and ended up on the duplexsecure site. Downloaded the W10 version and voila: problem fixed.

For the Windows support team: It would be really helpfull if you could pass problems to a more skilled helpdesk who can do more than proposing the standard solutions in case those won't work.

    Cheers

  3. Windows 10 Unexpected shutdown on start up

OK, so I also found out that this occurs when sleepmode (for me after 3 hours) changes into hibernate mode.

Seems like the going into hibernate and/or starting up from HIbernate results in a shutdown. In safeboot it works perfectly.

Anyone any idea how I can figure out where it goes wrong. Is there a way to log this (I couldn't find it in bootlog)

Hi ashal123 and welcome to Tenforums.
Changing bitness requires a clean install. You'd have to download the 32-bit version of Windows 10 and clean install it on your laptop. Not sure why you'd want to revert to 32-bit though, as 64-bit is much more secure. Also, your RAM will be under-utilized, as 32-bit only sees just over 3GB RAM as usable. Really, I wouldn't recommend it.

I think you have to do a clean install to go from 64bit to 32bit. Any reason why you want to downgrade that we may be able to help you solve.

Sometimes, if you install and/or run them in compatibility mode, everything will work fine. Sometimes, you even need to change the installer to run in compatibility mode just to get the program to install. What software are you having difficulty with? Maybe we can help.
