AnyConnect 4.5 ,4.6 latest builds (both manual setup and msi distribution via SMS)

Windows 10 1607-1809 laptops

Symantec SEP 14 AV

Windows Firewall enabled


When required like when install doesnot work properly and uninstall is done AC reports it has uninstalled , but has residuals (Folder/registry etc)

Removing these manually sometimes works but not always.

We are then unable to do a new install of AC


Since uninstall component is from Windows OS side is their a particular build/release that fixes this issue

or a clear and consistent manual procdure/tool for forcing a clean uninstall or making a forced AC install when

the problem arises

How do you uninstall chipset drivers?

I'm installing a new mobo so I need to uninstall the intel 865g drivers to make way for the P35 drivers.

Can't find any uninstall options in add/remove programs and intel chipset inst listed in driver cleaner.

Any suggestions? *Confused

The tutorials provided are just a list of troubleshooting steps. Use only the steps which apply to you.

Since none of the troubleshooting steps here worked, I'd suggest you do a Clean install.

Uninstall problem


Open the Admin Command Prompt:

1. diskpart
2. List disk
3. select disk # where # is the disk that contains hidden partitions
4. list par
5. select partition #
6. delete partition OVERRIDE
7. repeat steps 5 & 6 for the additional hidden partitions.
8. exit

OR:
if you want to clean the whole disk, after step 3 above
Type: clean
Type: exit
