This could be a driver-related issue as the accelerometer has stopped working after the installing the updates for Windows 10. By the way, for us to provide you with appropriate recommendations, we'd like to ask the following information:

• What's the make and model of your laptop?
• On what operating system it's currently running?
  
• Did you get any error messages?

Problem with the accelerometer

I have just bought a Lumia 800 two weeks ago. I really like it. However, I found a problem with the accelerometer a few days ago.



I bought a game "Need for Speed Undercover" from the Marketplace. When I played the game, I found I have to tilt the phone around 5 to 10 degrees clockwise to keep the car running on a straight line. If I put the phone on a flat table, the car would turn
to left. I used the diagnostics tool (by dialing ##634#) and selected ‘Accelerometer’ from the list. I put the phone on a flat table and the displayed X, Y and Z values are 0.04, 0.05, and -1.05, respectively. The ball always rolled to the upper right corner
of the screen. I compared the results with another Lumia 800. The other one did not have this problem.



I thought the accelerometer of my Lumia 800 was not calibrated correctly in the factory. I searched on the Internet and found a calibration tool. It could calibrate the accelerometer and save the results. Unfortunately, It seemed to work only on HTC Diamond.
Does anyone know whether there is a calibration tool that can be used on Lumia 800? Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK
