  1. Accendently changed the content of SAM\Domains\Account\Users\000001F7

Hi. I am recently creating a hidden account, but when I operating, I accidently changed the content of HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SECURITY\SAM\Domains\Account\Users\000001F7 and HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SAM\SAM\Domains\Account\Users\000001F7 which stands for DefaultAccount value of 0x1f7. Can someone use the remote registrator accessor, or own the access to the registory, so I can restore the content please?

I don't see any conciquence so far, but I am still concerning.

    Thank you guys!

    :)

  2. jimbobs Win User

    Administrator level User

    Progress .... thanks to you!

Booted from Recovery Drive, opened Terminal and followed Option 5 steps until Step 8 HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\REM_SAM\SAM\Domains\Account\Users\000001F4

There are no other folders in REM_SAM There are all there in SAM but nothing in REM_SAM

    - - - Updated - - -

Followed Option 5 steps, making sure to go to correct windows installation, selected the SAM file, and, in the Load Hive dialog, type REM_SAM, and click/tap on OK.
    So far, so good.
However, when I try to navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\REM_SAM\SAM\Domains\Account\Users\000001F4, there is nothing there.
In fact, there is nothing under REM_SAM.
    Any suggestions?

  4. Accendently changed the content of SAM\Domains\Account\Users\000001F7

    Forum users with Hotmail/Outlook/Exchange account

The two-step verification emails show up in my inbox but I added a rule to mark the domain name safe a long time ago (verified that "techpowerup.com" is still in the safe sender list).
