Windows 10: Accents and Ñ with right alt key

hi, i use to have a surface pro 4 with windows 10 and i always could type accent by typing right alt + o for ó and the same for á, é, í, and ú. and alt + n for ñ.Now i bought a surface pro 9 with windows 11 and it doesn't work that way, i always have to change keyboards and use the Spanish keyboard to type accents and Ñ.Please help im getting tired of switching keyboards every time i use my surface.

Modifying the right ALT key on my French Canadian Keyboard (Windows 10)

I am trying to modifying the right ALT key to obtain ã (Portuguese tilde on a)

It already exists with the combination of ALT+ right square Bracket, and the choosing the lower a or caps a.

What I would like to do is to use the ALT key + (the column and semi-column key) to get the
ã directly in one step.

(This is the most common letter I need - I do not need Ã)

So what is the best step to do that mod???

How to configure the UK keyboard to use accented characters with only 2 key press?

I have a UK keyboard layout, but I frequently write in Portuguese, which has accented characters like á, ã, ê, ç, etc.

When using an US keyboard, it's possible to configure Windows to use the keyboard layout called US International and easily type accented characters. For example, to produce á: press the key ['] then [a].

Using the US International all the accented characters can be produced in the same way, with just 2 key press. I don't want to press more than 2 keys to get an accented character! So, please don't suggest keyboard layouts that I have to press [alt] + ['] then [a] to get the á. That's too much key presses to get a single char!

I would like to have the same behavior using the UK keyboard layout on Windows 11. What is the correct keyboard name to use on Windows 11 to get this behavior?
