Windows 10: Accents deadkeys randomly stop working with CMS keyboard on WIndows 10

Hi,For some odd reason, accent deadkeys stop working on WIndows 10. I haven't figured out why it happenes, but worse, I don't know how to make it revert to its correct behavior.Normally, I should be able to press ^ followed by e to get the ^^e.., well, as you can see, that's not what I'm getting. The ^ should be over the e. Same with the ¨¨ and the e character.I tried switching the keyboard layout, hopin that by cycling through them it would fix the problem, but it doesn't.It seems the only option is to reboot, which is annoying and time consuming.Has anyone ever seen this? If so, do you have

MSKLC 1.4 deadkeys bug

I've created my own keyboard layout based on International one and I discovered that deadkeys with high unicode number don't work.

Keyboard accents stop working everytime

Hi everyone,

I'm using Windows 10 system with Microsoft Comfort Desktop 5050, and in about 5 in 5 minutes the accents stop working. As a workaround, I switch to another language, and the accents start working again. Now I have the Portuguese language with ABNT2 Keyboard
and English language with ABNT2 Keyboard. When PT language accents stop working, I switch to English, and when English accents stop working, I switch to PT again, and so goes on.





You can see there that both PT-BR and ENG languages have the same keyboard type

(English with US Keyboard is there because Windows simply puts it there automatically, even if I don't ask for it, but this is another issue)

Observations:

It is happening since I installed this OS.

The first main system language was English, but I installed the Portuguese language because of the date format. I know that the system translation has a lot of bugs since Windows 7, so maybe this can be the issue as well, as I installed this translation
just after I installed the OS.

To assist you better, please provided us the information below:

• What is the language pack are you using on the computer?
• When you say that "put accents above the e and o but i can't seem ", how exactly have you tried to use the accents on the computer?

I suggest you to refer to the Microsoft Help Article about how to type accented characters.
