Windows 10: Accents when typing on English UK Keyboard

Hi folks,Sometimes when I'm typing, accented letters come up. I'm on the English UK Keyboard, so I'm wondering if there's some key-combo I'm accidentally pressing or something similar.A few details that might help:I'm on Windows 11 on a Surface Laptop Go 2I have 2 keyboards, English UK, and French France with US-Int keyboardI have checked, and when this happens, I am 100% sure I am in English. UK Extended keyboard does not type some of the accented characters

Hello,

I switched over from US keyboard to the UK one and I have been struggling with typing accents since then. I am using UK Extended keyboard and would like to type French accents. I am able to type acute and grave accents successfully by using the AltGr key and ( ` ) key respectively. However, I cannot seem to type the circumflex accent. I have tried the following but in vain:

1) AltGr + ^ , then the letter (e) --> e

2) AltGr + ^ + letter (e) --> é

2) AltGr + Shift + ^ , then the letter (e) --> e

Does anyone have a solution?

 

US keyboard + UK English


You could leave only the English UK language, but then you would have to remember that some symbols on your keyboard are on a different place when typing (such as @ and " and others).
