    Access 2003 and Windows 10 Home


    I have a few questions. I have been using Access at my small business for years. I have built and extensive database. However, with the latest update to my Windows Home 10 operating system, I can no longer open my database on most of my office computers. On just one does it still work. I know I am running very old versions. My first question is there an easy fix? My second question is if I decide to update everything to Microsoft 365 will my database created with Access 2003 open on an update subscription Access? Thanks in advance for your help.

    Windows 10 Tweaks

    Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

    Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

    If your Office 2003 apps do not appear in the list, then you can use Option Two, step 3 from that tutorial and browse this PC to find them.

    Choose Default Apps in Windows 10 - Option Two
