Windows 10: Access between a win11 PC and a a win10 PC using the local / private network

Hello MicrosoftI have just purchased a new win11 PC and want to transfer files from the old Win10 PC to the new Win 11 PC. Both PC's.Both PCs are set up to a private network and I am able to see the Win 10 PC and all the drives and partitions / archives, but I cannot acces the content. I get the message that I do not have permission to access the chosen archive and need to talk to the network administraror. But the administrator that is me???On both computers all drives / participations access options are set to all persons.What is wrong here - please help!Thanks in advanceKim

Accessing shares on local network. Win11 able to see shares on Win10 but denied access to them.

Two PCs on a local network one Win10 the other Win11 (new PC).

I can access the shared empty DATA drive on the Win11 PC and copy files to it. However from the Win11 PC the shares on the Win10 PC are visible, but, with one exception (the "Users" share on the Win10 system drive) "You do not have permission" message pops up on the Win11 PC when trying to access them. I've checked permissions - they look OK. I ran sfc /scannow on both PCs and the Win10 PC picked up and corrected some errors. However, the problem persists.

 

PC Networking/Sharing on Private Network

We have latest Windows 10 on 3 PC's in our home. They are all connected to the same wifi secure connection. I've configured all 3 for sharing over a private network but have not been able to access the other PC's. I can see one of the computers but
it is saying that I don't have permissions to access, to contact my administrator (that's actually me and I'm listed as administrator). This networking worked well with homegroup in earlier versions but since Windows 10 update I have no longer been able to
network and open files on other PC's. I would think this would be much easier in Windows 10. Does anyone have any suggestions to make this work? Thanks in advance.

 

create a win10 local private network

I have 3 win10 computers. I wish to have them on a private local network. How do I do that?
