    Access denied to delete file from File Explorer, but not from Desktop?


    So i have a folder on Desktop. If i want to delete it directly from Desktop its fine, it works.

    If i open Desktop in File Explorer, i can't delete the folder because it says Access Denied.

    What is this?

    Cant Delete Files From Desktop

    Well, ran into a weird bug with vista, for some reason i cant delete files from desktop, this normaly happens to .exe files, the ONLY fix seems to be to KILL explorer.exe, and delete the file, then restat explorer, anybody got any idea why this happens?

    Denied Access to delete files

    Thanks for suggestions. I tried AVG Remover but it found nothing; probably because I had already deleted the bulk of the files. I also tried Command and Safe Mode but both gave Denied message. So the question remains how do I get access to delete files? Would changing to MS login at Start help?

    Nforce2 > nvidia.com. There you find drivers.

    As for accessing files, take ownership.
