Windows 10: Access denied when trying to set affinity in windows 10.

My question is identical to this post: Access is denied - changing affinity in windows 10 doesn't work - Microsoft CommunityI am also having trouble with the same task: 3dsmax.In searching through various posts, this issue has not been resolved. The 3dsmax process, when rendering an animation, should be able to utilize 100% of the cpu. On some of my machines, it only utilizes about 40%. On these same machines, the affinity setting is blocked. On machines where the task is able to use 100% cpu, the affinity setting is not blocked and set to use all processors.Why is the affinity setting blocked

Task Manager gives me an access denied error when I try to set affinity or end a process.

How to "set affinity" for msmpeng when getting "access is denied"

I'm unable to set or change process affinity for msmpeng (Windows Security Virus & threat protection). I'm logged-in with admin privileges. System is Windows 10 Pro 64bit. Version 2004 (OS Build 19041.928).

Does anyone know the steps to follow to achieve this? Thanks!

 

LAPTOP is not accessible ..... Access is denied.

I am trying to share a folder on a LAPTOP. I have other a number of other systems that have folders Shared and they work fine, but with this one I get the error "LAPTOP is not accessible ..... Access is denied." when I try to access it from a different Win10 system. So I went thru the entire "How to Share Files and Folders Over a Network in Windows 10" tutorial step by step. File and Print Sharing is enabled, SMB1.0 client & server are running, and Everyone has Full Access to the Share. Still get the error. I have tried it with the Network Public and Private, with the same result. Any suggestions ?
