I had the exact situation specified in the same question on 19 Aug 2023 by Jim Davis4. When trying to download my photos by USB connection to my Fuji X-S10 I received the access denied message and when accessing properties of the object I did not have a Security Tab visible. I found the solution to my problem which may be useful for some other user. I realised that the download had worked fine before I had used the Fuji X-App. On close examination I found that in the X-App settings I had set on the X-App setting Run the Fujifilm xApp also in background option. Turning off this option subsequen

  2. Access is denied when I try to import photos from my Fujifilm camera via a USB cable...

Access is denied when I try to import photos from my Fujifilm camera via a USB cable, whether I try to import them using the Windows import photo utility, copy them with File Explorer, or open them with another program. It says I need administrator privileges, but my account is the administrator account. I used to be able to copy files from the camera this way, but it no longer works. It works fine with other USB drives, just not the camera. I see that others have had this problem, but I haven't seen a good answer. If I remove the memory card from the camera and put it in the card reader, I can access the files without a problem, but the card reader on my photo editing computer has died. I can replace it of course, but I don't understand the problem with accessing the files when the memory card is in the camera. I should add that when the camera is connected to the computer, I can see the camera, all its folders, and the photo files in File Explorer, and I can also see the thumbnails of each photo, I just can't do anything with the files.

  3. Access is denied when I try to import photos from my Fujifilm camera via a USB cable...

    Hello Jim Davis4.

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

Regarding to your information I assume that you can't make any changes when you connect the Fujifilm camera via a usb cable.

Did you have any data protection or access protection functions on your camera? This may be caused by permission issues that

    are causing your problem.

It's possible that the issue is related to the permissions on the camera itself. Maybe you can try to change the permission of

    following these steps:

    1. Connect the camera to your computer via USB cable.

    2. Open File Explorer and navigate to the camera.

    3. Right-click on the camera and select "Properties."

    4. Click on the "Security" tab.

    5. Click on "Edit" to change the permissions.

    6. Select your user account and check the box next to "Full Control."

    7. Click "Apply" and then "OK" to save the changes.

If this doesn't work, you can also try reinstalling the drivers for your camera. You can do this by going to the manufacturer's website and

downloading the latest drivers for your camera model.

If there is anything not clear, please do not hesitate to let me know.

    Best Regards,

Access is denied when I try to import photos from my Fujifilm camera via a USB cable...

    Importing photos with usb cable

I am trying to import photos with my Canon camera connected with the usb cable. I go to Photos, connect camera correctly, computer recognizes the device and appears to be looking for photos to import. Then I get a message that "no new photos" are found.
This is incorrect as there ARE new photos to be imported. I have also tried to import them by inserting the SD card into the laptop, no luck either. I had no problems importing them in the past. Help please! Thanks
