Windows 10: Access is denied

    Access is denied


    Hi. I am an administrator of Windows 10 Enterprise version 1607.


    When I tried to execute msu file from command prompt that run as an administrator, it said "Access is denied". However when I tried to do the same thing to the same file with PowerShell, I can execute it with no problem.


    I have been looking for the cause of the denied message. I have monitored event log, but I can not find any specific related message there yet.


    The file is downloaded from the Microsoft Catalog. It is fine to install the patch by PowerShell. I think the msu is not the cause of the issue.

    I located the file in desktop. It used to be executable with command prompt for a week ago. Only I made a change is enabled BitLocker.


    I also tried it as stopping McAfee application, but it still said "Access is denied". Is there any possibility for the denied message? Any advice will be gratefully appreciated. Thank you.

    Change Folder Destination access Denied

    Thanks.

    After following the steps suggested, I get the message "Access denied" in command prompt.

    Please advise how to allow permission.

    Whenever I connect any pendrive or hard disk it says access denied for pen drive I googled got the solution for pendrive but I need to follow the steps everytime I connect give me the permanent solution and steps for hard drive access denied
