    Access Microsoft store behind corporate firewall


    We have a corporate firewall with SSL inspection (basically a legitimate MITM). the firewall's root certificate is installed both in the user certificate store and the machine certificate store.
    I can browse Microsoft store with no problem, however every time I try to download an app I receive the (very unhelpful) error message "Try again later. Something happened on our end"

    Windows Firewall blocks App Store from downloading new apps

    Hi,

    Let's try to check if the app store you're referring to if it's really blocked by Windows Firewall. See these steps:

    • Open Windows Firewall from the taskbar >
      Firewall & network protection       > Allow an app through firewall.
    • A new window will show up containing the list of the apps that ca be allowed through Firewall.
    • Look for the app you want to be accessed, and make sure that the Domain, Private and Public are ticked. That would allow the app store to be accessed.

    Let us know what happens after doing the suggestion.

    I see what you mean about the password but i think its a backward step to compromise my Microsoft password to to use the app store

    Running python2.7 behind corporate firewall

    What is the best way of running python2.7 on Windows behind a corporate firewall?

    The standard version installed does not have pip so I installed Anaconda but the version of the main package I need is too old. Any attempt to upgrade or download packages results in HTPP errors. IT support can't get through the firewall.

    I'm not familiar with virtual environments and docker etc. Open to any suggestions.
