Windows 10: Access to Preferred Software and Apps

Dear Microsoft. I hate you for so desperately trying to control my behavior. My next computer will not be a Windows machine. I've been with you since 1996 and you've only gotten more expensive and controlling. The subscription model is increasingly burdensome and ever more expensive. It is obvious that you consider me data to be mined for profit and you make it difficult to use any other product than yours at every turn. For Microsoft, the customer is the product; a heartless soul that with no meaning other than to be farmed and cultivated for profit. I actually hate your company and concept.

Preventing access to modern app

Ive been tasked with preventing the children from accessing instagram. I've got it listed in my windows hosts file and internet options/security/restricted site but the windows 10 app is still allowing access. Any suggestions other then deleting app which can just be reinstalled?

In the meantime, you can also try the steps below and check if it will work:

1. Perform a clean boot.
It will start Windows by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. Also, it helps eliminate software conflicts that occur when you install a program, or an update, or when you run a program in Windows.

2. Once done, try to set again your preferences for videos and picture files.
