Windows 10: Access violation at address 100417CF

I've been struggling with this problem for a couple of days and I don't know what else to do. Bought a USB wifi dongle but i haven't been able to use it yet. I connect the USB to my pc and then install the driver but when the installation finishes this error occurs: "Access violation at address 100417CF in module 'RaWLAPI.dll'" and I can't see any wifi networks on my pc.

I have a USB dongle that I haven't able to use itm when I tried to plug it in and the installation of driver finishes it gives me an error : access violation at address 100417CF in module RaWLAPI.dll. It will not show any wifi network on my pc to connect. What to do?

An access violation (AV) occurs when the program performs and action on a memory address that does not align with the page protection for that memory.

Method 1: I suggest you to run Power troubleshooter and check if it helps. The
Power troubleshooter checks things like your computer's timeout settings, which determine how long the computer waits before turning off the monitor display or entering sleep mode. Adjusting these settings can help you conserve power and extend
your computer's battery life.

• PressWindows + X key.
• SelectControl panel.
• In the search box, typeTroubleshooter and then clickTroubleshooting.
  
• Click on Power and Click on Next button.

If it does not, start the computer in clean boot and then try shutting down.

Method 2: I would suggest you to set the computer in a clean boot state and check if it helps. Setting the system in a clean boot state will help to identify if any third party applications/drivers or startup items are
causing the issue.
