Windows 10: Access Win 10 user account on new Win 11 PC

I have built a new PC and have a clean install of Win 11 Pro. I was unable to upgrade from my old Win 10 Pro machine as it had an unsupported CPU.I have a O&O disk image of the old Win 10 system drive and I need to copy my documents from my Win 10 C:\Users\<username>\Documents\ folder to the Win 11 machine but don't have permissions to access the folder when the Win 10 disk image is mounted as a drive in Win 11. There are also some app config files in C:\Users\<username>\AppData\ that would speed up my transition to the Win 11 machine.Can anyone tell me how to set the permissio

Problem to access a win 10 pc from a win 11 pc on my network

Thank's for answer. As mentionned in my post, I can see win 10 pc on the network from my win 11 pc. The problem comes when I click on win 10 pc, I get the error message : windows cannot access //pc-xxxx. (see the picture I have included)

All the parameters you suggest to me are set correctly.

From win 10 pc I see the win 11 pc and can access his share files.

Error trying to add new user account in Win 11

I am trying to add a new account on Win 11.

I go to Settings / Other Users / Add Account and get the following error:

Lusrmgr - this snapin may not be used with Windows 10 - use the Accounts Tool in Control Panel

I updated from Win 10 to Win 11 so suspect part of that upgrade has not worked as it should.

Any suggestions as to how I can fix this?

 

Other PCs can't access new Windows 11 laptop - what user name and password?

All PCs on my network are Win 10 except a new Win 11 laptop I'm setting up.

• After setting up permissions on the new laptop, it can access files on my Win 10 desktop, It asked for network credentials the first time. I entered either the Windows assigned account name or the Microsoft Live e-mail address (I forget which) along with my password and it worked fine.
  
• The Win10 desktop cannot access the new Win 11 laptop. It asks me to enter network credentials. When do enter either the Windows assigned account name or the Microsoft Live e-mail address and the password or PIN it always tells me the user name or password is incorrect. What can it be looking for?
  

Why is this not working both ways and what can be done about it?
