Windows 10: Accessibility - size of the text on the on screen keyboard

Hello, I am a teacher with a student who is visually impaired. We are working out ways to help him complete his exams. We hope to put the on screen keyword on a large screen in the classroom. However, despite making the text size bigger in the settings, and despite making the keyboard bigger, the size of the texts on the actual keys on the on screen keyboard is still small. The student needs the letter/number etc. to be big enough to fill the button space. At the moment, the on screen keyboard has the letters in the top left corner of the button. Please follow below steps to change the size of text:

• In the search bar, look for Display settings, then click it.
• A pop up will appear showing the Display settings.
• Click on the scale to change the size of text, apps and other items.

Change size of virtual keyboard keys (Ease of Access)

To increase the size of the On-screen keyboard, follow the steps below:

• Open on-screen keyboard.
• Place the mouse cursor to the edges of the keyboard window.
• It will change the cursor symbol to double arrow.
• Click and drag the mouse to resize the keyboard window.

Icon & text size

To resolve your concern, we’d recommend that you follow the steps provided on how to change the font size. Here’s how to do it:

• Right-click on desktop and select Display settings.
• Scroll down and click Advanced display settings.
• Scroll down and click Advanced sizing of text and other items.
• Under Change only the text size. Select the item you want to change in the drop-down list and choose the text size.
• Click on Apply.
