Accessing my broken laptops SSD with another computer

My Lenovo Yoga laptop with Win10 broke down. It still runs I hear the fan and see the power button light and keyboard lights but screen is blank on startup. Not even the Lenovo start screen shows up, unless I manage to get to the Windows "Automatic repair screen" light blue background by doing a sequence of long power button presses.

I will try to fix the actual cause to get it working again but first Id like to save my files so that I wont erase them accidentally or if I fail to repair the laptop. So I try to extract my SSD data left into the broken laptop.

Windows was password protected, no idea if drive had any encryption. The old computer had everything on Drive C which also had Windows installed to it, if it matters.

    My questions are:
    1. Can I just pull off the M.2 PCIe SSD from the old broken computer and attach it to another computer also with Win10 using a M.2 PCIe SSD external enclosure with USB port on the other end? More specifically can I access the old data this way with my another computer easily plug in the external enclosure with the SSD and start copying? I'd like to copy-paste or cut the old files to my other computer after which I wouldn't have to worry about loosing the files of the old computer when I try to repair it. I dont need the windows installation, just my personal files.

    2. If previously described wouldn't work, what's the best way to get the files from my old laptop?

I'd try to repair the installation, but first I'd worry about the existing files because I need them and I would need to buy the SSD enclosure asap should I try that. Once they're safe I would need to worry less about losing them during my "repairing", also formatting would then be an option. :

    :)

One computer cannot access other network computers.

So I've tried every troubleshooting step I know:
    • Double checked that Net Bios was enabled
    • Ran a bunch of network commands:
      • flushed DNS
      • registered dns
      • pinged and located the named computers successfully
    • Reset my router to factory settings

Nothing works when I try to access via explorer. I'm still baffled by the fact that every other computer can access each other AND access this computer. It's just the outgoing connection from this machine that doesn't work.

    Any thoughts?
