    I have a new Sony OLED TV model XR65A95L.Selecting Inputs on the TV remote and then Media Server on the Sony menu results in a list of apparently visible resources on my local network.My Windows desktop PC shows up but when I select it, the response is "Please try again later".Curiously, when I select the Windows 11 laptop that also shows up in the list, I get access to some of the files on it; e.g. some of the pictures and some of the music.I'd like to be able to play video files directly from the Windows desktop PC.Is this even possible?Thanks.

    My Windows desktop PC shows up but when I select it, the response is "Please try again later".

    Curiously, when I select the Windows 11 laptop that also shows up in the list, I get access to some of the files on it; e.g. some of the pictures and some of the music.

    I'd like to be able to play video files directly from the Windows desktop PC.

    Is this even possible?

    I'm trying to connect a older Desktop pc with Window 10 to my Samsung f8000 smart tv via wifi or LAN. My desktop pc is ethernet cabled to the Sky home hub and the smart tv ethernet cabled to the hub as well. My smart tv appears in the connected devices
    list but it doesn't seem to connecting, is it because I need a wireless dongle??

    • Confirm which build is currently installed on your device. To check, follow the steps below:
    • Press Windows key + R, then type in winver.
    • Click OK.
    • What is the make and model of your Smart TV?
    • Have you tried checking with your Smart TV's manufacturer if there were any available firmware updates?
    • Were there any recent changes made prior to this issue?
