Accidental folder move, how do I restore?

Hi,Yesterday in file explorer whilst moving the mouse pointer I accidentally dragged the Pictures folder to the one below it in the folder tree. This is my default pictures folder and has several GB of pictures and videos. It seemed to move it instantly, but when I dragged it back it seemed to half do it, freeze, say it couldn't move some files etc.I forgot about the right click 'undo move' command at the time.So then I thought it had finished, now today I get an email from MS saying a large number of files have been sent to my onedrive recycle bin. I checked online and can see lots of pictu

Accidental folder move, how do I restore?

how to restore accidentally deleted temporary installation folder?

    Hi,

Deleted files can be restored depending on how it was deleted. If the deleted file is still in the Recycle bin, you can restore it by right-clicking on the file and selecting Restore. However, if it's deleted permanently, we can try restoring it with the
    use of File History.

File History backs up copies of files that are in the Documents, Music, Picture Videos and Desktop folders, and the Onedrive files available offline. Follow the steps below on how to restore files using File History:

    • On the search box, type restore your files and select Restore your files with File History from the list.
    • Enter the name of the file you're looking for in the search box on the upper-right corner of the window.
    • Select what you want to restore and click the Restore button.
    • If you want it to be restored on another folder other than the original location, right-click
Restore button, select Restore To, and choose a new location.

After doing so, check if the file was restored in your device.

Let us know if you need further assistance.
