Deleting Temporary Files from Storage in Settings - Windows 10

Hi Younes,

Thank you for the update.

I would suggest you to once boot in Safe Mode and then try deleting the temporary files. Refer to the following steps:

Follow the steps given below to boot your system in Safe Mode.

• 
  Type settings in search and click on Settings.
  
• 
  Click Update and recovery, and then tap or
  click Recovery.
  
• 
  Under Advanced startup, tap or click Restart now.
  
• 
  Once your PC restarts, on the Choose an option screen, tap or click
  Troubleshoot.
  
• 
  If you don't see the Startup Settings option, tap or click
  advanced options.
  
• 
  Tap or click Startup Settings.
  
• 
  Tap or click Restart.
  
• 
  On the Startup Settings screen, choose the
  Safe Mode.
  
• 
  Sign in to your PC with a user account that has
  administrator rights.
  
• 
  Press Windows key + R.
  
• 
  Type %temp% in the dialog box and click
  OK.
  
• 
  Select and delete all the files in the Temp folder.
  
• 
  Check if you are able to delete all of them.

Cannot launch Settings on startup menu

Thank you for posting your reply.

I suggest you to perform a Startup Repair by following the steps below.

• In the Lock screen, press/hold the shift key and click on power icon>restart.
• Click on Troubleshoot>Advanced Options>Startup Repair and follow the prompts to start the Startup Repair.

After the Startup Repair is complete, check for the status.

Corrupted file RAR

If the archive has been created using WinRAR, why don't you try WinRAR itself? It has a built-in repair feature for repairing corrupted archive (ZIP as well as RAR). Follow the steps given below:

• Open WinRAR application in your system.
• Now click on File tab > Open or simply press Ctrl+O.
• A small window "Find Archive" will pop up. Locate the corrupt RAR archive from your system directory and select it.
• Now click Open button.
• Click Tools tab > Repair archive or simply press Alt+R.
• Again a small window "Repairing File name.rar" will pop up.
• Now click Browse to select a location to save the repaired archive.
• Check the box "Treat the corrupt archive as RAR" and click OK.
• WinRAR will start repairing of corrupt RAR archive. Once it gets completed click Close.

I hope the above steps will help you repair the corrupted RAR archive.
