Windows 10: Accidentally Compressed D drive and now its a blank white screen

The computer is an HP running Windows 10. In an attempt to improve the computer speed, I ignorantly compressed the D drive.

For my efforts, I was rewarded with a blank white screen. The only action i am able to take is CTL + ALT + DELETE and command prompt.

Trouble is, I don't know what to do from there and have not found consistent info online. Thanks for your help.

I have a Asus e303ma laptop Window's 10 was working well until my screen change white blank screen and it did freeze before the white Screen it was the normal Window's 10 Screen. What can I do to clear it?

D drive

Hi,

• Type Command prompt in the search bar.
• Type-in the following command:
  
  attrib -h -r -s /s /d D:\*.*
• Press Enter to execute the command.

If you think that there is nothing important stored in it, then we suggest that you reformat your D drive so that you can use the free space for important files.

• Click on the File Explorer.
• Select This PC.
