Windows 10: Accidentally deleted a file from the documents folder and now windows won't boot properly

It started when I was browsing through the documents directory late at night when I accidentally hit delete on probably one of the first file that was listed

I didn't see what it was but I didn't think much of it and shut off my laptop after pressing ctrl Z didn't restore it and I couldn't find it in my recycle bin.

When I turned on my laptop the next day, it wouldn't boot properly and windows couldn't fix it after letting it diagnose it.

My Documents Files - Deleted?

For some reason all the files apart from My Games/Crysis Wars have been somehow deleted without my doing. Strangely, I went to play Crysis Wars the other day and my profiles were gone, thinking nothing of it I proceded to reset them up. Also strangely, I did not install any games folders in My Documents, somehow the folders Games/Crysis Wars just appeared, when, I really don't know. I have install my OS on a seperate hard drive and My Documents as well as every other folder used as storage is linked to another seperate HDD. Tried a system restore, still no good, why? Has Crysis somehow deleted/corrupted this folder? confused:

 

C windows installer folder - Delete?

He can do symbolic link redirection and move the files in it to a different location. *Wink
Better try it out in a virtual of first. Just a suggestion.

Like:
First move everything in c:\windows\installer to d:\installercache
Then delete c:\windows\installer folder
Then type this in command mode as admin
mklink /d c:\windows\installer d:\installercache

Removing those installer files is a bad idea. it might prevent you from updating or uninstalling apps.
