Windows 10: Accidentally deleted Files on my phone through Windows - Can I recover them somehow?

Hey guys and happy new year to all of you!

I've tried to free some space on my phone yesterday (maybe not the best day of the year to do that if you're in a rush) and here's what happened:

I normally just manually copy over photos and videos from the DCIM folder of my Honor 9 to my Windows computer. After everything has been copied I compare the size and count of all copied data and delete everything that has been copied onto my computer. Yesterday I didn't want to delete the most recent photos so I left them. But while I deleted the photos on my phone I've noticed that new files popped up. So I think my phone has not completely loaded every photo yet and so they didn't show on my computer. And it turns out that I've therefore deleted too much.

Is there any way for me to recover those photos? Where would they be recoverable since I've deleted them through Windows on my phone?

I hope someone can help me out here! And of course I will from now on start backing up on a Cloud as well or something as I really don't want this to happen again.

Need suggestions to recover deleted data from HDD

As is my username I was a bit of a big n00b this morning, installing a fresh Win8 and accidentally deleted my downloads HDD instead of my SSD, don't ask, I was hungover is all I can think.

It hasn't been formatted or touched since I pressed delete so am hopeful I can recover most of the files, any suggestions for software to do so?
