  1. Accidentally Installed a Microsoft Store game partially to wrong Hard Drive

I am curious where the game files are installed before its fully done. I started installing sea of thieves but then I realized it was going to my C: Drive instead of my D: Drive. Its a big file, and I am hooked to Ethernet so 7 GB were downloaded before I knew I made a mistake on which Drive I downloaded to. I want to recover as much of that space as I can, but I can't find where to delete the file from. It definitely didn't delete itself when I cancelled the download.

Does anyone know where it might be and if its possible to delete the unfinished files? Thank you in advanced!

  2. Install Microsoft Store Game In Specific Folder

    Hi,

I understand that you want to organize your Windows 10 storage location. However, the feature you're looking for is currently not possible. We suggest sending feedback to Microsoft using Feedback Hub app. You can visit this
article to know more details about it.

Moreover, you could always choose a preferred location from the Store settings, or move installed content to a different drive. In case you have the OS installed on an SSD and have a dedicated drive for games, the feature will make it more convenient to
download games to a dedicated drive before initiating the download.

You can follow the steps below on how to install Windows Store apps on a separate drive:

    1. Open Settings.
    2. Click on System.
    3. Click on Storage.
    4. Under "Save locations," and on "New apps will save to," select the new drive location.

Once you completed the steps, new apps you download from the Windows Store will now install automatically in the new location.

If you need further assistance, don't hesitate to get back to us.

    Stored files in Hard Drive

I'd like to know if there's a way of listing all the files stored in my hardware and arrange them by size, because I want to keep track of what's on my hard drive. Thanks, I hope you answer.

Accidentally Installed a Microsoft Store game partially to wrong Hard Drive

Windows store not resuming game downloads.

Yet more problems gaming with the windows store.....
Does anyone know whats going on now? I can begin a game download of possibly several hundred gigabytes but if i pause the download and restart the system the download vanishes from the downloading list of the windows store.

I then have to manually search the store for the game in question and choose to download it again, at which point if I get lucky i'll remember which hard drive it was installing to and can resume otherwise the whole thing begins to download again from the start.

I now have 10 or so games halfway downloaded on the system all taking up space on the hard drive yet because I can't remember which games these were I can neither resume the download or remove the partially downloaded files. I also have several games that I tried to resume but couldn't remember which hard drive the partial download was on so these games are now installed fully on 1 drive and also have hundreds of gigabytes of the same game halfway downloaded on other drives.

(win 10 pro, all up to date)
