Windows 10: Accidentally pressed advanced startup. Need help fixing bcd

I'll try and keep this brief:

• I pressed advanced startup by accident

• restarted pc

• pc booted with black screen and blinking underscore

• used windows creative media to make usb to boot windows

• tried to follow tutorial on how to fix bcd

Here's where it went wrong. I had windows on my SSD and when I use diskpart to show volumes, my SSD with windows does not show up. I am also unable to cd the usb boot file either. I'm unable to repair windows because cmd cannot locate windows. I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing someone please help. I would prefer to avoid reinstalling windows.

Error code 0xc000000f, BCD corrupted

Hi Andre,

As per the description, I suggest that you follow the steps below to fix BCD

1. Right click on the Start Menu and select Command Prompt (Admin)

2. Here type/paste the commands listed below

Bootrec /fixMBR

Bootrec /fixBoot

Bootrec /RebuildBcd

3. Once done restart the PC and check.

Thank you for posting your reply.

I suggest you to perform a Startup Repair by following the steps below.

• In the Lock screen, press/hold the shift key and click on power icon>restart.
• Click on Troubleshoot>Advanced Options>Startup Repair and follow the prompts to start the Startup Repair.

After the Startup Repair is complete, check for the status.
