Windows 10: Accidentally ran slmgr.vbs -upk before writing down product key

I thought I had written down the product key, but I accidentally wrote down the product ID instead. I did run slmgr.vbs -upk in order to deactivate my windows 7 machine in order to install windows 11 on a new drive. Is there any way to retrieve the product key? I already tried system restore.

slmgr /dli: Product key not found

I just accidentally deleted my Windows Key with the command slmgr /upk. My actual intention was to use slmgr /dli to find out if I got a oem or retail license but I copied the wrong command. Now slmgr /dli says "Product key not found". But when I got to seetings>Activation it still says "Windows is activated with a digital license linked to your Microsoft account".

So my question is, how can I install my key again, to be able to run slmgr /dli? I can't use the command to install a key since I have a digital license and no product key.

 

PC with Windows 10 has new motherboard. Unable to use old MS Win10 registration code, claims duplicate.

Suggestion is to uninstall the product key, so I followed instructions:

Run as admin:

cmd

slmgr /upk worked

Now to also remove it from the registry:

slmgr .vbs /cpky

Received an error message to say the server vbs cannot be reached?
