Windows 10: accidentally ran windows startup repair?

Discus and support accidentally ran windows startup repair? in Windows 10 Ask Insider to solve the problem; so i was in the restart page after holding shift and accidentally clicked on startup repair.     accidentally ran windows startup repair?


    so i was in the restart page after holding shift and accidentally clicked on startup repair. I figured there was no way out of it so I did it anyway. will this delete or change anything? or can I act like it never happened?

    Cannot launch Settings on startup menu

    Hi Luky,

    Thank you for posting your reply.

    I suggest you to perform a Startup Repair by following the steps below.

    • In the Lock screen, press/hold the shift key and click on power icon>restart.
    • Click on Troubleshoot>Advanced Options>Startup Repair and follow the prompts to start the Startup Repair.
    After the Startup Repair is complete, check for the status.
