  1. Accidentally turned my D drive into my videos folder when i was trying to transfer files....

I followed the instructions in this post using RegEdit but that did not fix the problem.

The D drive is acting as the videos folder now, and I can't figure out how to reverse it. I wanted to use my D drive for installing video games and storing my movies/shows, but I royally fucked up and now I have no idea how to fix my mistake.

  2. Transferring files to another folder. Speed issue.

I run a 500GB WD Velociraptor as my C drive and I have a standard 7200rpm 500GB HDD as my storage (D drive). I'm only getting about 15mb/s right now transferring files/folders to another folder or transferring from C drive to D. Why is the WD HDD so slow? Am I missing something? *Confused Accidentally turned my D drive into my videos folder when i was trying to transfer files....

Transfer desktop file to D drive to burn

This request is for windows 10. This always worked before, but now I can't put any files in the Explorer folder for my DVD burner. If I try to drag files, to only option that appears is "Move" and nothing happens. If I try to copy/paste, nothing gets pasted.
If I right-click a file and select "Send to", "DVD RW Drive (DAccidentally turned my D drive into my videos folder when i was trying to transfer files.... :)", nothing happens. In the Explorer folder for D: it shows:

Files ready to be written to disk (1)

    desktop.ini

As a result I have two windows open, one with folder containing file and another opened by the D drive. I cannot get the file to transfer to the D drive under the files ready to be written to disk.

If I click "Burn to disc" a message pops up saying "No staged files to burn. Please add the files that you want to burn to this disc, then try burning again".

There is no 3rd party burning software on this computer.

    Any suggestions?

Pictures Folder Accidentally Remapped to D:\

    [UPDATE]

I remapped the Pictures folder to C:\Users\[username]\Pictures even though the Pictures folder didn't exist, chose not to have my files automatically moved, then remapped it a second time to my intended destination at D:\Pictures. The folder name was then reverted
back to Pictures and any relation to the D drive was removed!

    ________________

    Hello all,

I recently re-installed Windows and was in the process of mapping the media libraries listed under This PC from C drive to my D drive when under Pictures, I accidentally selected D:/ in the Select a Destination GUI. I had selected my existing Pictures folder
yet it selected the entire D drive. It now behaves like the actual D drive when I right-click on the Pictures folder under This PC and select Properties, except the Location tab is still there. When I attempt to remap the folder to D:\Pictures, a dialog box
appears, telling me that the specified path is invalid. When I try to remap the folder to C:\Users\[username]\Pictures in an attempt to troubleshoot, there is no Pictures folder there yet when I create a New Folder and rename it to Pictures, I'm told that
a Pictures folder exists. Any help would be appreciated.
