Windows 10: Accidently toggled 3D display mode and now SP4 will not connect to my TV

Hi all,I'm having a lot of frustration with my display settings. I'm using a surface pro 5 and I came across a serious bug when trying to fix the HDMI connection resolution on my 3dtv. I accidentally clicked the 3d display mode toggle button in the display settings window while my 3dtv was set to a resolution that Windows considered unsupported for 3d, the system cycled display modes a number of times before stopping the driver for my video card, forcing my to restart and try again.Once the video card driver was stopped the first time though, windows reverted to its default video driver which

My PC keeps detecting 3D TV in Windows 10

Hi,

I've got a really annoying problem that I am struggling to fix.

I connect my PC via HDMI to my Panasonic TV which has a 3d mode. I dont want the PC to display 3D but id made the mistake when i was playing around in settings of clicking the 3D display toggle. This had the effect of making the TV screen go black.

How do I stop the PC keep trying to autodetect the 3D TV. I've tried to turn off the 3D and there does not seen to be any option to disable. In TV mode it works normally in a non 3D way.

I tried to connect a computer monitor but because its just a standard monitor there is no option, to disable 3D toggle, so when I plug the PC back into the TV it keeps thinking I want 3D mode, and stays in a black screen. This also means i cant boot into
safe mode to disable the setting this way.

Im sure there is an easy way to fix this but I must be missing it. Any help would be appreciated.

• Uninstall all software and drivers of your video card; then, restart your computer.
• Once your computer restarted, connect your TV (Windows will install generic drivers).
• Install all latest software and drivers of your video card, and check if it works.

If the issue still persists, go to Display Settings, and follow the steps below:

• Click Advance display settings.
• Under Related settings, select Display adapter properties.
• A pop-up box will appear. Click List All Modes; then, choose the specific mode that you are looking for.
• Hit OK, and check if it works.

Laptopc can´t connect to TV

Hi,

Please reply to the questions mentioned below in order to assist you in a better way.

• Are you connecting the PC and TV using a HDMI cable?
• Did you make any changes prior to the issue?

I suggest you to try the steps below and check if it helps.

• First you need a video cable for making the physically connection. For better picture quality, you should connect the computer to the TV using standard VGA ports or via the DVI to HDMI cable provided your TV supports these ports.
• Open the "display settings" in your computer and activate output to the TV screen. You can either mirror content of your computer on the TV or extend the display just like a dual monitor screen.
• Pick up your TV remote and switch to "External Inputs" from the menu. You will need to change the default "Video 1" to a different selection which may be "HDMI 1" or "Video 2" depending on how you have made the connection.

Important: Make sure you connect the cable to the TV before turning on the computer as sometimes it may fail to recognize external display.

You may also need to change the screen resolution of your TV using the Display settings in your Control Panel else the picture may appear distorted.

Please revert if you face any issues with PC not connecting to TV.
