Windows 10: Account and email addresses mixed up

Where can I start in explaining this problem?I have a old PC which works perfectly well with an unsupported version of Windows, but it's adequate as I only use it for personal file storage, general occasional browsing and emails using Outlook account address ending in - hotmail.co.uk, My PC is not the problem though. When I look at my wife's tablet which has Windows 10, my email address account appears on it under the Settings opening screen with her name though, and her name appears when signing in to the tablet beforehand.It looks like my wife or me? need to change her Account Settings

Unauthorized Emails from my account?

It is more than likely that your email account was hacked, either by a virus sniffing your password, or just simply hacked.

Either way, change your password on your email account. Unfortunately the damage by already be done. They already have your contact list and your email address associated with that contact list. There is nothing stopping them from sending out emails using their own SMTP servers to everyone on your contact list and claiming the emails are from your email address. They don't actually have to have access to your yahoo account or even any yahoo server to send emails to people that come from your address.

 

Mail for Windows 10 mixing email addresses

Hi

I seem to have a problem where Mail for Windows 10 mixes my work email and personal email addresses, which are set-up as separate accounts. For example, I recently sent an email using my personal email account. I can see it in the sent items for that account,
however it shows both email addresses on the top of the message like this: *** Email address is removed for privacy *** <*** Email address is removed for privacy ***>. Then, the reply from the other party came back to my work email account and, therefore, I can't just reply to that email with my personal email address.
I have myself as a contact in the app with both email addresses which may be the cause of the problem, but I would not have thought it should.

Any suggestions?

Here is the step to remove that old email address.

Start typing an email address into the “To” field. As soon as you see the old email address being recommended as one of the potential candidates, use the down arrow key to scroll through the list of suggestions. Once you highlight the old email address, type the delete key. In many cases, this will actually remove the entry not only from the current list of suggestions but from future suggestions as well. You may even find that as you mouse over the drop-down list the highlighted item will have an “x” to explicitly allow you to delete it.

Just do this step and your good to go.
