Windows 10: Account compromised

Hello everyone,Just a few short minutes ago, my Microsoft account was compromised. Being fairly tech savvy I immediately tried to change my password when i noticed a secondary email added to my account. As i tried to reset the password, I could not log in. Attached are some screenshots I took. The email was changed so I could not recover it using Microsoft's form. In addition, when I tried with the email that the account was changed to I noted it down when I saw 2 emails associated with the account, Microsoft's form rejected my request because of "too little information". I suspect this was

About someone who created a Microsoft family with your account and put you as the child.

Here are some steps you can take to remove yourself from the family and regain control of your account:

1. Sign in to family.microsoft.com with your Microsoft account.
   
2. Click on More options next to your name and select Leave family group.
   
3. Select Remove to confirm.
   

If you are unable to leave the family group, you might need to remove the consent that was given by the adult who added you to the family.

1. To do that, sign in to account.microsoft.com with your Microsoft account.
   
2. Click on Family and then click on Manage consent under your name.
   
3. Remove the consent and then try to leave the family group again.

Compromised Account

The account I am currently using was compromised 5 to 6 days ago by a Russian e-mail. I have taken the steps to get the account back and change the password. My concern is WHY is there a 30 day waiting period to get their e-mail removed from an account that I proved is mine?
