Windows 10: Account - Store - Game Pass a variety of issues. Account being the possible root cause?

HiI use one account for Xbox Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscriber, and Windows Microsoft use across the board.Recently I upgraded my Desktop and Surface tablet hardware and at the same time had these new devices with Windows 11 pre-installed.Unfortunately when I logged in and set the PC and Surface up with my account I found the Store would not display my pre-purchased apps and games. Recently Windows Insider released a new Developer Insider build 22557.ni, and I normally run the Developer Insider build on my Surface devices. not able to download games from store

There are several possible reasons as to why you're encountering issues with downloading games from the Windows Store. Here's a list of the common factors:

• Your account may be restricted from downloading games that are inappropriate for your age.
• Games you're trying to download are not available in your current region.
• Corrupted app data
• An outdated Windows 10 OS

• Are you getting any error messages?
• Are you using an adult or a child account?
• Is the Microsoft account you're using in the Windows Store app the same as your Windows 10 user account?
• Are you using an administrator user account?

Strange Windows 10 User Account issue.

Unfortunately I had done those steps numerous reboots, it just, reappears for no good reason. The base account isn't even a Microsoft account, it's a local account.

I haven't quite tried the built in administrator account on W10, but so far in my experience on my own computer, the built in account seemed to have absolutely no more control than I did on my own.

It's just strange, I go in, it warns me twice about deleting the account, then it's gone. Reboot, and it's back?

EDIT: Just to specify, both command line and Netplwiz both say only HIS account exists on the computer, it doesn't list this rogue account. This is what I meant in my first post about the fact that even Windows doesn't seem to believe it exists, HALF the time. *Frown

 

How to login to root account in LMDE ?

Are you trying to access through terminal?
Root mode in debian should be su- or su -
sudo gedit will get you into any config file as root
/etc/sudoers contains information on giving accounts root privelage
sudo visudo is used to open this sudoers file to edit permissions.
I agree with the others, the GUI is great but linux is ALOT of cmd line, so if you want to learn this it is crucial that you learn command line, you will get no where fast without it.
