Windows 10: Account unknown security identifier removal in group or user names

How this happened was I tried to give my pc user full control, and I hit the checkmark, for full control, and instead of hitting apply and ok, I accidentally hit the add button, and the unknown user popped up, I tried to delete it, and I stupidly and reluctantly, clicked through about 15 error messages. I then clicked out of group and user names and tried to open control panel and it wouldn’t let me. It gave me

I suggest you backup your personalized files first before removing the account.
To delete an account, follow these steps:

1. Press WIN + X keys and click Command Prompt (Admin) from the menu.
2. Type the following command and press Enter. Replace test with the name of your sister's account. Code:

I'm not sure you would want to delete it, just yet; It may be an account created for your printer within the Homegroup, and to print any document in the group, the printer would need access to those documents.

• Is "unknown user" your term or is it named Account unknown?
• When you say: "this unknown user has access to all my docs", can you see this unknown user under the security tab from one of these .docs, what type of access is checked off for it, complete, read and execute, print?
• Does it have a security identifier (SID) like S-1-5-21-3xxxxxxxx-xxxxxxxx8-xxxx0xxxxx-1000, the numbers between 21 and 1000 are identifiers for your user account, the ones we need are the S-1-5-21 and the suffix-1000, the 21 and 1000 may be different but if you know them, post them.
• One way to find the SID is, open an elevated CMD prompt and copy/paste/type, then Enter: Code:

Unknown User Account created after upgrading to windows 10. It comes back if I delete it.

Hello,

Since I upgraded to Windows 10 I am seeing an account that I did NOT create. So I deleted it by going into Control Panel > All Control Panel Items > User Accounts > Manage Accounts then I click on the unknown user account and delete it. That said.... It
comes back. I have also followed the below suggestions from other posts and still does not seem to work.

Let’s try simple steps and check if the user account is detecting and try removing it.

  Press Windows key + R, type netplwiz and press Enter.
  
• 
  Check if the user account is appearing on the list.
  
  
• Click on user account and click on Remove. (If user account appear on the list).
