Acer 7441 laptop no longer has a sleep option showing when going to power off ?

Windows 10 Creators Update - Sleep in no longer an option, even in power options currently unavailable.

I've tried reverting to my 'old' build of Windows 10 (?- history no longer shows old build) twice. The first time I left it up because my sleep option still worked. When my old Dell automatically updated to 1709, I manually updated my Acer - the Dell's
sleep option works fine, my Acer has been through several troubleshooters, several 'fixes' through Command Prompt (Administrator), and today, I updated the Bios from 1.04 to 1.09 and still no sleep option.

I've been told there are power options in Bios that may need to be switched manually (S0, S1, etc.) but no one is offering any advice or instructions for this procedure. Acer is blaming it on Windows.

I just want my sleep back, this was the power down option I used at least 90% of the time.

There seem to be 2 CSRs trying to help me with this, I hope one of you can figure it out.

The issue might be due to a disabled sleep to show in Power menu
option in Control Panel.

We would like to ask for some information:

• Did you get any error messages?
• Can you provide us with a screenshot?

In the meantime, please check if the sleep to show in Power menu
option in Control Panel is enabled using the steps below:

• Type Control Panel on the search box and press Enter.
• Select System and Security, then Power Options.
• Click on Choose what the power buttons do.
• Put a check-mark on the Sleep-Show in Power menu box.

For issues with sleep mode and power options follow the steps provided below.

Run the Power troubleshooter and check.

Follow the steps to run the troubleshooter:

• Open Control Panel.
• Type Troubleshooting in search and click
  Troubleshooting.
• Now type Power in the search option.
• Click on Power troubleshooter to run.

I would suggest you to try updating the Display driver and check if the issue persists. If you already have all the latest drivers from Windows updates, then I would suggest you to visit the computer manufacturer's website, download and install the latest
drivers in compatibility mode and check.
