Windows 10: Acer Aspire 3 does not boot from USB flash drive?

Hello, I'm supposed to do home office on my Acer Aspire 3 (8 GB RAM, Win 10, Intel i5 CPU, NVIDIA 2 GB GPU) For this purpose I received a bootable USB stick, from which I should quasi start.

The Acer has UEFI with a MS-DOS-like user interface. F12 Boot is enabled, it recognizes the stick too, but when I boot it, it gets stuck on the stick when I boot the software. I have already removed all other USB devices and tried all USB sockets, but it just does not work.

My old Acer oddly enough drives the stick up normally (same UEFI setup), but I'd like to work from the new Acer because it's just faster. I hope someone can help me ... thanks a lot

Acer Aspire bootable media

Ok ive tried bridging usb flash drive and hard reset...I have an acer aspire dual processor in the middle of doing a windows update it powered down, when turning on I got message no bootable media device found...I downloaded and ollow all steps to usb flash
drive and still I get same message plus missing drivers. I have another acer aspire a bit older but updated to windows 10 can I connect the two to fix my other acer...PLEASE HELP MY GUY NEEDS HIS LAPTOP BACK...I HATE SHARING LOL

 

acer aspire 3 help

so my daughter bought a acer aspire 3 laptop, doesnt get on with 10 so asked if i could put 7 on it
i have 3 genuine 7 discs but this laptop doesnt have a dvd drive.
i made a bootable usb with rufus but it wont boot from usb

googled for help and found i need to change from uefi to legacy

in bios it wont let me change to legacy and google search shows acer may have removed the option for some reason

so i found a thread that says create usb in rufus but change to gpt.

still no good, so ive tried creating a usb with my windows 10 dvd
still wont boot the usb.

ive even tried booting a linus usb with no joy
at a loss guys

any help appreciated

There is a rather large number of different Aspire 3 models so I wan't sure which user guide to try looking at, but in general, here are some things to try:

Try going into the BIOS and looking for an option to allow you to set the boot order. From the one user guide I looked at it appears that once in the BIOS you may have to select "Boot" from the categories at the top of the screen and you should then have the boot order options available.

In addition, some systems have a key you can press during boot that will bring up a list of devices that you can boot from so that you can select the one you want.

If everything looks like it should be configured to allow you to boot from a flash drive but it's still not working, then try this method of creating the flash disk. This has always worked for me on both BIOS and UEFI based systems.

NOTE: You need to do this from another Windows 10 system, version 1703 or later, NOT Windows 7!

Create bootable USB installer if install.wim is greater than 4GB
