Windows 10: Acer Aspire 5560 - Wireless will not turn back on

Hi

We have two identical Acer Aspire 5560 lap tops one for me and one for my wife. Both are running windows 10. They have served us well for a number of years but now the wireless facility on my wifes lap top has stopped working. I have checked all the settings in control panel etc (all the ones I could find) and tried to turn it back on using the Fn/F3 buttons (which works fine on the other laptop).


I have connected to the internet using an ethernet cable but obviously this is a bit counter productive for a laptop. We can also connect using a mobile phone to receive the wireless signal but once again, not ideal.


Any help, suggestions, directions would be greatly appreciated.

That Error Code seems to be most frequently associated with/pointing to incompatible Drivers. The Acer Aspire 5560 Model is only listed on the Acer Site under 'Legacy Hardware' as far as I can tell, which suggests they may not be too interested in providing
further firmware/driver updates, but you could try asking on their Forums. According to this site ( http://www.notebook-driver.com/acer/acer-aspire-5560-5560g-windows-driver-utility/ ) the last updates were released in 2012!

hey it finally worked,i didnt use a boot cd or ntn i just went into msconfig and set it to start in with the basic services and i selected what to start with and when it was finished downloading i hit restart and it finally worked thanks to all who tried
to help me.

Anyone using an acer aspire 5560 you can try doing what i did if your pc is not restarting

I have the very same laptop as you, and yea i thought about toying with it, adding a 500gb velociraptor hard drive, cramming an A8 apu in it. but in reality i would leave it alone. The Aspire 5560 is already a very powerful laptop for the price, i also use K10stat and find that 2400mhz and 1.35v plays The force unleashed II on max settings, resolution and anti aliasing just perfect, even bad company 2 looks amazing on just high settings with 2x AA, keeps frames about 20, still great for playing. Im thinking about putting an even more extended battery in mine and putting 8gb of ddr3 1667mhz ram in it, see what itll do me *Wink
