  1. Acer Aspire BSOD - SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED - Qcamain10x64.sys

Hi, I've been having an issue with my computer (Acer Aspire R5-471T) bluescreening randomly; sometimes I'm not even at the computer, with nothing running, and the wifi driver will still crash and result in a bluescreen with stopcode SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED with what failed always being Qcamain10x64.sys.

It's honestly been doing this since I got my computer, but only on specific wifi networks (I don't understand that at all) but now it's become an almost constant series of bluescreening; and even then, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. However, now it's gotten overbearing to the point that I can't get any work done, and as a full-time student with a part-time job, I need my laptop to do just about everything and this has to stop.

I've tried updating the driver, but I can't get it to update even manually because I get a pop-up telling me that it's detected that I've got the most current driver and won't let me update.

I've gone through every fix-it forum on the site it seems, but I cannot get this to stop.

I can always force this error by manually disabling the wifi driver, same thread exception error and same driver that failed.

If needed, this is a zip folder with (some of) my most recent minidumps on it. Conveniently, they all occurred while I was attempting to write this question, so the sooner this can be fixed the better. It's taken me two hours to even get this to send, and that's not an uncommon occurrence anymore.

Thank you for any help you can provide!

    :)

  3. BSoDs when moving my laptop possibly due to Qcamain10x64.sys driver

    Hey Everyone,

About a year ago I bought an Acer Aspire V15 Nitro, with the following specifications:

    Windows version: Windows 10 (64 bits) , 10.0, build: 10240 (currently 1703)

    Hardware: Aspire VN7-571G, Acer

    CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-5200U CPU @ 2.20GHz (but sometimes gets to 2.6ghz, factory overclock/turbo boost I believe)

    4 logical processors,

    RAM: 16GB DDR3

Graphic cards: NVIDIA GeForce 950m and Intel(R) HD Graphics 5500

Recently, whenever I move the laptop, there's a BSoD with the Error number 0x000001d3. I've downloaded BlueScreenView and checked the dump files and the problem was said to be possible due to "Qcamain10x64.sys+1bfc70". Upon research I found that to be the
network driver and was recommended to reinstall the driver from Acer's Website (Download Drivers and Manuals | Acer Official Site). I did this all to no avail. I even factory reset, did a fresh install and even opened the laptop to check
if all components are connected correctly, especially the network card.

However the problem still persist and it can get as bad as multiple restarts one after the other. I have uploaded the three most recent dumpfiles to my onedrive account. Link: https://1drv.ms/u/s!AsCaRv3wZS9dhL9y8rT5M3gQcVEiEw

Thank you for your time and solution.

Can you do the following :

In the Device Manager double-click the wireless adapter > Driver

What is the "Driver Version" ?

Then click on the "Details" tab, then choose "Hardware Ids" from the drop-down menu under "Property".

    What is listed under "Value"?
